Holiday Health Trifecta: Lipo Injections, Lipo Spray, and Daily Detox

My beautiful baby girl is home from OU tomorrow night and there are way more plans for the week than I anticipated. Not to mention the food I have stocked in the fridge for her. Somehow the holidays always get away from us, even with the best laid plans, or intentions. So our weekly special is designed to help: a little appetite supressant here, a little extra energy there, a little Plan B when all else fails! Here’s your extra help: lipo shots, sublingual lipo spray, and Daily Detox supplement.

When I first started at Body Tonic, I wondered about the efficacy of things like B-12 shots, or lipotropic shots. Since I had to write the text for the website, I obviously had to do my research. Still, it all felt foreign to me. I didn’t order the injectables, so I didn’t know where they came from, and I never really took advantage of them. (The first time I did though, I definitely had felt an appetite suppressant effect!)

These days, I actually order the lipotropics, and I know exactly what’s in them. And believe me, they work! That’s one of the most frequently asked questions we get about these injections: what’s in them? I’ve broken it down here for everyone, and hopefully removed enough of the boring, medical jargon to make it mildly interesting:)

What are lipotropics? Lipotropics are compounds that promote the flow of fat & bile to and from the liver. In essence, they produce a decongesting effect on the liver and promote improved liver function and fat metabolism. Lipotropic substances decrease the deposit, or speed up the removal of fat, within the liver. Lipotropic mixtures combine liver and gallbladder therapies in one product and those using it can benefit simultaneously from the power and potential of them all.

The lipotropic injectable we currently have is called Lipo-Extreme. Here’s what’s in it:

Inositol (50mg), a nutrient belonging to the B vitamin complex, is closely associated with choline. It aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol. Inositol also participates in the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood and appetite.

Choline (50mg) is considered one of the B-Complex vitamins as well as a lipotropic nutrient. Choline is associated with the utilization of fats in the body. It prevents fats from accumulating in the liver, and is essential for the health of the liver and kidneys.

Dexpanthenol (25mg) Vitamin B5. Vitamin B5 is important in maintaining a healthy digestive tract and it helps the body use other vitamins more effectively. It is sometimes called the "anti-stress" vitamin because it is believed to enhance the activity of the immune system and improve the body's ability to withstand stressful conditions.

Pyridoxine (25mg) or Vitamins B5 and B6. These play a vital role in metabolism by breaking down fats and carbohydrates for energy. The higher the protein intake, the greater is the requirement of B6. Also,B6 acts as a mild diuretic.

Hydroxocobolamin (500mcg), a unique form of Vitamin B12 that offers a longer lasting effect. Vitamin B12 is needed for normal fatty acid and DNA synthesis. It is essential for maintaining the integrity of the nervous system and the synthesis of molecules involved in the production of energy. Vitamin B12 deficiency can result in fatigue, cognitive impairment, neuropathies and sleep disorders.

Chromium Picolinate (15mcg.), “the blood sugar nutrient.” Promotes normal insulin function. May help metabolize fat, turn protein into muscle and convert sugar into energy.

L-Carnitine (25mg) assists in the transport of fat through the cell membrane and into the mitochondria within the cell, where the fats are oxidized, resulting in the production of cellular energy (ATP). L-Carnitine accelerates the rate of ketone production which has both a protein sparing effect and appetite suppressing effect.

Part of our Holiday Health Package is our Be-Thin Lipo Accelerator Spray. This is a great at-home complement to the weekly lipo shots. It has many similar ingredients that increase metabolism and accelerate fat burning. It is a blend of vitamins, amino Acids, lipotropics, and fat burning fruit extracts. When applied under the tongue, the small particle size is rapidly absorbed via the sublingual process. I have also found that the ingredients in Be-Thin help with post-workout recovery.

Be-Thin:

Increases metabolism to burn fat Accelerates oxidation of fats for ATP creation

Promotes lean muscle mass Increases energy and endurance Reduces appetite and cravings

The third element to complete our Holiday Health trifecta is the Daily Detox, (previously called Colon Cleanse), is a supplement that, simply put, gets you going! I can honestly say that anyone who has taken it has been hooked. It’s not really something you need to take daily, though. It’s an as-needed supplement. If you never feel like your tummy empty, take it, and you will! If you’re taking any supplement or med that can cause constipation, take Daily Detox along with it. Or if you end up accidentally eating too much and you just want to make sure that food moves on through, take a dose! But be careful! Start with one pill at bedtime. After you know how it will affect you, you can adjust your dosing from there. Also, be sure to drink plenty of water. Water helps it work, as is true with most supplements that help with constipation or gut slowness.

With all three of these supplements on board, you’ll breeze right through the Thanksgiving holidays feeling energized and hopefully no where near bloated!
