OTHER TREATMENTS

Micro-Botox Treatment

Micro-Botox is our AquaGold treatment, also known as intradermal Botox or mesobotox. It utilizes a more diluted form of Botox that's utilized in our AquaGold treatment, meaning multiple small dose injections into the skin.

If you suffer from any of the following skin concerns, Micro-Botox may be the right treatment for you:

  • Oily/Acne-Prone Skin: For those with large pores and oily skin, Meso-Botox causes them to shrink, making the skin smoother, clearer, and less oily.

  • Acne Scarring: When injected into the borders of acne scars, Micro-Botox relaxes the edges of the scars, making them less visible.

  • Skin Crepiness: Crepey skin can form anywhere on the body, but mostly is noticeable around the eyes, neck, decolletage, and above the elbows and knees. Unlike regular Botox injections, Micro-Botox is able to treat crepey skin because it helps relax the superficial fibers of the muscle that create the appearance of crepey skin.

  • Lines and/or Wrinkles: Although conventional Botox is used to treat dynamic lines and wrinkles as well, some patients prefer Micro-Botox treatment because it does not create a frozen look.

  • Jowls: As we age, our skin loses elasticity, especially in the lower face. When injected into these areas, Meso-Botox creates a lift in the jowls, making the jawline more prominent and reducing the appearance of sagging in the lower face.

  • Cellulite: Cellulite is part of women’s biology and nine out of 10 women have it. Meso-Botox helps fill in the cellulite so it is not as noticeable and also helps with circulation in the treated area.

  • Rosacea: Micro-Botox is also an effective treatment for rosacea because it interferes with the blood vessels’ ability to dilate, slowing the surge of blood flow to the skin, reducing redness, and flushing.

Off Label Uses for Botox

Alternative uses, also known as off-label applications actually have been FDA approved. Botox could be the solution to your acne, muscle spasms, TMJ, or hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Botox can also be used as a way to prevent new wrinkles from developing or limit current wrinkles from becoming more severe.

Halo FAQs

FAQ

WHY GET A BOTOX TREATMENT?

Botox and neuromodulator treatments require minimal downtime. You can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave your specialist's office. You may begin to notice skin smoothing results within 24 to 48 hours, lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines.

HOW DOES BOTOX WORK?

Botox is an injectable botulinum toxin that simply blocks nerve signals to relax the muscles. As a result, injected muscles can’t contract (tense up) and create lines or wrinkles, leaving the skin smoother in appearance and more youthful looking. These effects are always temporary, but can last for several months. The muscle injected depends on the primary area of concern. Several areas can be treated in one session.

HOW WILL I LOOK AFTER MY BOTOX TREATMENT?

Botox does not alter the shape or features of your face, it simply eliminates lines and wrinkles. Our qualified and experienced providers will ensure the proper placement and dosage needed for your treatment, eliminating the worry and risk of getting over-injected.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT MY BOTOX TREATMENT?

Your Botox treatment will block out a 30 minute timeframe with your injector. It should only take 15-20 minutes, depending on the number of areas that will be treated. No anesthesia or downtime is required. The treatment starts with an in-office consultation where our expert providers assess your needs and offer a tailored treatment plan to provide you optimal and desired end results. Botox is then injected into the treatment area using an ultra-fine needle to minimize any discomfort. Botox procedures are fast, simple, and minimally invasive. No recovery time is required. You may resume normal work or daily activities immediately after treatment.

HOW LONG DOES MICRO-BOTOX LAST?

Micro-Botox, like traditional Botox, lasts on average 3-4 months. However, when micro-Botox is combined with other cosmetic treatments, such as hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, results can be extended by several months.

WHAT CAN I NOT DO AFTER MY BOTOX TREATMENT?

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or physical pressure on the affected area

  • Leave the treated area alone

  • Resume normal work or school activities

  • No exercising for 24 hours

  • Go make-up free for the next day

  • Sit up for the next 4 hours, no lying down or bending over

  • Avoid alcohol
