I love when I’m paging through People Magazine or US and they have a feature about what’s in a celebrity’s bag. They show the purse and all it’s beautifully staged contents spilling out. Just a small bit of voyeurism to feed our curious natures. That got me thinking about the girls I work with and what they have in their purses. Maybe not ALL they have in their purses. Kit alone carries two Louis Vuittons with her at all times (one doubles as a gym bag I think). The contents of all that would take pages I’m sure! But specifically I was wondering what product lines we carry at Body Tonic and which of those we all seem unable to live without. I asked all the ladies and there was definite repetition in what we use…clearly we have some staff favorites!

Skin Ceuticals Eye SPF
This product is tinted and acts as a concealer, or as a primer before concealer and also protects from sun damage. We all use it multiple times a day. The texture is soft and can take the place of under eye concealer for those who don’t have dark circles. For me, it helps camofaluge dark circles and the SPF is just a great bonus! It can be used on both the eyelid and under eye area.
Elta MD UV Lip Balm
I’ve never liked lip balms with SPF because I think they taste funny or feel too thick. That’s definitely problematic if I am at the pool or beach because I know I need to protect my lips even more than usual. This balm is in a squeeze tube and goes on soft. It doesn’t have a taste and it makes you look like you have on lip gloss. I use it throughout the day. It’s creamy, has long-lasting moisturizing, and the sunscreen soothes and protects dry, chapped and sun-exposed lips.
Skin Ceuticals Antioxidant Lip Repair
Kit loves this because she has a habit of chewing her lips, leaving them dry and a little cracked. She uses the lip repair twice a day to fix the damage she’s done! Gina uses it because it hydrates, conditions and smooths her lips. If you feel like your lips have that dehydrated look, this product definitely helps. And it feels great on, it’s very silky smooth. Lip Repair also helps attract and retain water to rejuvenate, reshape and replenish lip tissue.
Skin Ceuticals Toners
A toner is perfect to have in your gym bag because it is a quick clean for sweaty skin if you’re on the go. The LHA Solution feels tingly and refreshing and is for more problematic or oily skin. The Equalizing Toner is for people who tend toward more dry or sensitive skin. These toners are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-infammatory, they balance pH and remove residue from the face.
Skin Ceuticals Physical Fusion SPF/ Elta MD UV Physical Tinted/ Elta MD UV Daily Tinted
We always love a great, tinted sunscreen. Both of these feel silky smooth going on, and the tint provides light coverage in case you don’t want to wear foundation. This is perfect for the hot summer days when you don’t want to feel like your face is melting off!! And of course, the added bonus is that you get you sun protection. The difference between the Elta UV Physical and the UV Daily is that the Daily has hyaluronic acid in it for extra hydration, so it is best for people with drier skin. I use this in place of foundation very often and I LOVE the way it feels going on - super hydrating!
