So let’s just assume this is actually an unattainable goal for 99% of the population. It’s a sad state of affairs when only 6.8% of our US population is cardio-metabolically healthy. To put it simply, we need better habits. How do we achieve this? Let’s start with a slight modification of each habit and work towards achieving these goals. Maybe we set our eating window to 10 hours and work towards 8, or exercise 3 days a week and work towards 6. These are ALL achievements not failures. One big thing I always remind myself on a daily basis is that I haven’t failed, I did my best and there’s always tomorrow! We may not be able to get them all, but we can shoot for one or two. I love the challenge of pushing my body. What a great feeling when you can have an true and honest celebration with yourself when you have worked hard and crushed a lofty goal. Whatever that may look like for you, let’s start today!

At the end of the day, we hope to be pain-free, full of life and energy, and happy to be living in this body that we were born with, as long as we’re here on this planet. Let’s do our best to love it and appreciate what we have been given. Even if you pick one of these healthy habits, you are starting a positive chain reaction moving forward.

You may be surprised to learn that more than 40 percent of the actions you perform every day aren’t actually decided by you. They’re habits. Habits dictate how we live, how we perform, and the results we achieve in life. This is why it is so important to have strong, positive habits.

Positive habits are the basis of your success, while healthy habits improve your overall wellbeing and make you feel good.
