People + Products: Our Newest Additions!

We would like to introduce you to our newest addition, Julie Walther! Body Tonic has gotten so busy we’ve needed some extra power up front. Julie is amazing, and just like Angela she’s always thinking ahead to help our clients get all they need. She’s new to aesthetics but learning quick. We know you will love her!

Having a newbie to the industry around brings back the excitement of what it’s like to think of all the exciting potential in skincare, lasers and injectables. She and Iris already have a beauty timeline all mapped out, starting with a retinol and products. Julie and I were chatting yesterday and she said her husband told her she was going to spend her whole paycheck on products! This might be true 😊…I saw her loading up! We are all like that though…payday rolls around and we are filling up bags with whatever we’ve run out of, or with any new product that may have launched. Angela has every cleanser we sell! I told Julie it’s a little obscene how many products I have in my bathroom closet. Between me and my husband, we’ve got two full shelves (like pantry shelves) of skincare. Alpha Ret Intensive, Skin Better Eye, HA Intensifier, Hydrating B5 Gel, all the masks, CE Ferulic, Elta lotions and sunscreens, the whole Clenziderm acne line, Even Tone, Alpha Ret peel pads, every cleanser we carry, two toners, and lots of other sample products that sweet skincare reps bring us to try, and I’m sure I’m leaving stuff out.

Products are the perfect place to start when you’re new to medical aesthetics, and an important part of maintenance. There’s a few products we’ve all been talking about lately: Skin Better’s Face + Neck and Skin Ceuticals Tripeptide-R Neck Repair, Skin Better’s new Eyemax, a retinol for the eyes, and the new Skin Better Cleansing Gel.

We’ve been trying to treat our necklines and/or crepey skin lately: microtox to start and then some form of product to lift, tighten and smooth. There’s different ways to accomplish this: Tripeptide-R Neck Repair is a slow-release retinol with peptides to target multiple signs of visible neck aging: helps improve lines, wrinkles, crepiness and laxity. Or you can try Skin Better Face + Neck. This product does not have a retinol but uses peptides and collagen to firm and lift skin.

Eyemax! Use this at night to really target lines and texture. This is a combination of a retinoid and an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the delicate eye area. Includes hydration to support the skin barrier, antioxidants to protect against environmental stressors, and reduces puffiness and darkness.

Skin Better Cleansing Gel: A mild, foaming gel that’s perfect for sensitive skin. We love this one because it takes off your makeup INCLUDING mascara! This is rare to find and a complete bonus.

As I write this it’s Friday and my weekend resolution is to be diligent with my skincare, a.m. AND p.m. And imma throw in a clay mask too. Products only work if you use ‘em!
