Micro Laser Peel Treatment: Get Your Hands Looking Like You're in College Again

I'm having a hard time concentrating on just about anything the last few weeks, especially tonight. Last Wednesday I left my baby girl in her dorm room at college for the first time.

That’s a bizarre moment: when you have to physically turn your body and walk out of the room, and down the hall, and get in the car and drive six hours home. As I was leaving her, I said, “I feel like I’m leaving something. Oh. Yeah, it’s you.”

Her dad, stepmom and I spent about four hours moving her in. The room was crowded with her roommate’s family as well. It was hot, and stressful and chaotic on the hall. Very exciting. But intense at the same time.

She’s been going through rush this week. And because I am a non-Greek, I don’t know anything about the process. There’s been some drama and some glitches and my baby girl has called needing her mama. So I’m off on another road trip this morning. It’s not often you’re need as a mama when you have an 18 year old.

I keep picturing her hands and her toes, and how even though she’s 18, I can still see her “baby toes” and “baby hands” (even though she's 5'10 with a size 10 shoe)! Even as I write this I spread out my fingers over the keyboard and glance at my hands and wonder if they ever looked like baby hands. I've always thought my hands were wrinkly and they have such a weird texture right at the wrist. Almost like a thatched pattern. What is up with that? They remind me of my grandma’s hands! I know I'm not the only one who feels like this about hands....Gina mentions her wrinkly hands often as well!

Why I’ve never done anything about it is beyond me. My only explanation is that even though I work at a med spa, we don’t generally have time for partaking in treatments. Or there are those pesky pre- and post- instructions that can involve staying out of the sun, not being tan, not being able to workout, etc.

But hopefully, while I am driving to Oklahoma, hands gripped around a steering wheel, YOU can be at the spa to make use of our weekly and monthly specials, to turn your "grandma hands" back into “baby hands.”
