This is What a Liquid Facelift Looks Like

A liquid facelift is a non-surgical procedure using advanced injection techniques with dermal fillers, and Botox or Dysport, to lift and contour facial features. A liquid facelift can accomplish any or all of the following:

  • Gentle lift of individual (or overall) facial features

  • Reduce wrinkles, creases, line or folds

  • Restore natural, curved facial contours

  • Restore volume loss

  • Give a more rested, youthful look

  • Enhance lips and smile

  • Lift and contour neck area

As we age, the face begins to lose collagen and elastin, which contributes to sagging facial features. The loss of facial volume and elasticity also leads to the formation of wrinkles, lines and folds. As our reps like to remind us, we lose one teaspoon of collagen in our face for every decade we are alive. So basically by the time we are 50, we could theoretically use five syringes of dermal filler to restore our faces to their youthful beginnings. This may seem like a lot, but if you think of it in terms of treatments, it seems more reasonable (lip enhancement: 1 syringe, cheek enhancement: 2 syringes, nasolabial folds: 1 syringe, and a syringe for fine lines, or possibly jowls or temples). Obviously this could be more or less depending upon individual needs and goals.

Ever since I was a child and heard my mother mention a facelift - and then later actually learning what really happens during a surgical facelift - I was horrified! I mean, they actually LIFT your face OFF and put it back tighter. Really?! Seems so barbaric. And then there’s the cost, the anesthesia, the downtime and recovery.

A non-surgical, liquid facelift is a wonderful and fairly instantaneous alternative to a surgical facelift that can help you look years younger and yes, much more rested.

What is the goal of a liquid facelift? Generally for someone wanting a true liquid facelift, the goal is to restore volume and shape to multiple areas of the aging face, with the end result being a younger, more rested looking appearance. For example, under eye bags and dark circles can be improved with tear trough enhancement; brows and lids can be lifted with Botox or Dysport; fillers or Sculptra can be used to: lift and diminish jowls, natural shape can be restored to cheeks that have become flattened or sagging, fullness can be restored to the hollowed temple area, corners of the mouth can be lifted, and lips can be enhanced, nasolabial folds can be diminished, and fine lines can be erased in both the face and neck areas. Botox and Dysport may also be used in conjunction with the dermal fillers to provide added lift and to help the longevity of the fillers.

A liquid facelift will typically last from one to two years, depending on the products used and the facial area treated.

What products are used in a liquid facelift? Our injectors will decide which fillers are best for each specific procedure. Currently we use Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, Lyft, Silk, Belotero, Radiesse, and Sculptra.

We now also offer Kybella, which is an injectable treatment for double chin. It permanently kills fat cells, giving your jaw area a more contoured appearance.

Results from a liquid facelift are noticeable immediately. You will have a fuller and more contoured face with fewer, less noticeable wrinkles and lines. You will appear refreshed and rejuvenated. As this is a non-surgical procedure, you have the added benefit of showing off your new and improved gorgeousness nearly immediately.
